What this tool does
It replaces the quoting step that usually means fighting a word processor template at 11pm. You describe the work as line items — description, quantity, unit price — set a tax rate, and the subtotal and grand total update as you type. A quotation number and today's date are filled in automatically. When the numbers look right, one button renders the whole document to a PDF that you can email straight to the client.
The trade-off worth knowing: the PDF is produced by rendering the preview to an image, not by writing a text-based document. That means the layout is reproduced exactly, but the text inside the PDF is not selectable and cannot be edited in a PDF reader afterwards. If your client needs to edit the quote, send them the numbers rather than the file. This also is not an invoice — it has no VAT/GST registration number, payment terms, or sequential numbering guarantees, so check what your jurisdiction requires before using it as a tax document.
How to use it
- Replace the quotation number with your own reference scheme, and fill in Prepared For and Prepared By.
- Edit the first line item: describe the deliverable, set the quantity, and enter the unit price. The row total updates immediately.
- Click + Add Item for each additional deliverable. Quantities and prices are clamped at zero, so a stray minus sign cannot credit the client.
- Set your tax rate as a percentage. Leave it at 0 if you are not registered for VAT/GST or the quote is tax-exclusive.
- Check the grand total, then click Download PDF Quotation. The file is named after your quotation number.

Frequently asked questions
Is my pricing information uploaded anywhere?
No. The quote is built in the page and the PDF is generated by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which is why the tool is safe to use for client rates you would not want in someone else's database.
Can I add more than one line item?
Yes. Click Add Item to append as many rows as you need, and edit the description, quantity and unit price in each one. Totals and tax recalculate as you type.
Why does the PDF look different from the preview?
The PDF is a rendered image of the preview region rather than a text-based document, so it reproduces the layout exactly but its text is not selectable and cannot be edited in a PDF reader. The trade-off is that what you see is precisely what the client receives.
